The BC Freshwater Angling Guide Report is a web form you fill in with your Basic BCeID. Both exports cover only the licence year picked above. The BC report export has one row per group, in the same order as the form, so you can copy it across. Reports are due March 31, or April 30 if you guided in March. BC submission page

GPS on new trips

GPS works without cell service. It may take up to a minute to find you in a deep canyon or under heavy tree cover.

Backup

Your trips live only on this phone. Save a backup every few weeks and keep it somewhere safe.

How backups work
  • What it is: one file with every trip on this phone, all seasons. It's how you get your trips back if your phone is lost, broken or replaced.
  • Where to keep it: email it to yourself, or save it to Files, Google Drive or iCloud. Keep the newest one; older ones are fine to delete.
  • It looks strange, and that's normal. If you open it you'll see text, quotation marks and long numbers. That's the app's own format, not a spreadsheet. The long numbers are trip IDs and save times.
  • Don't edit it. Changing anything in the file can stop it from restoring. For a copy you can read, use the trip spreadsheet export instead.
  • To restore: open the app on the new or reset phone, tap Restore from a backup and pick the file. Trips already on the phone are kept. Restoring only adds, it never deletes.
